What Quipshot is

A meme maker. You bring a photo from your library, the camera, or the built-in sample; Quipshot can suggest captions in four tones, lets you set top and bottom text, renders the meme, keeps it on your board, and lets you save it to Photos, share it, or remix it with Meme Coach.

Quipshot has no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Your photos stay yours

You keep all rights to the photos you import and the captions you write. We do not claim ownership of your memes and we do not receive copies of them. You give Quipshot only the permission it needs to process them on your device and, if you allow cloud captions, to pass the photo or message to DeepSeek to produce a response.

Meme responsibly

You are responsible for what you make and share. Do not use Quipshot to:

• use photos you do not have the right to use, or infringe anyone's copyright or trademark;
• harass, bully, threaten, or humiliate a real person, or post their image where they have not agreed to it and would reasonably object;
• create hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content, or anything involving minors in a sexual or harmful way;
• spread false statements of fact about real people or impersonate someone;
• break any law that applies to you, or attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or overload the cloud caption service.

AI captions are suggestions

Caption ideas and Meme Coach replies are produced automatically by DeepSeek. They can be wrong, misread the photo, repeat a joke, or land as rude or unfunny, especially in the “savage” and “chaotic” tones. Read every suggestion before you use or share it; once you save or share a meme, the words are yours.

Cloud captions only run after you tap Allow, and you can switch them off in Settings → AI data sharing. The service may be slow, limited, or unavailable at times; when it is, Quipshot shows fallback captions and you can still write your own. How DeepSeek handles requests is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your device, your backups

Quipshot keeps your board on your device only. There is no cloud backup by us, and deleting the app deletes everything it stored. Save memes you care about to Photos.

The app itself

We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Quipshot on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Quipshot's design, code, and artwork remain ours. Apple is not responsible for the app or for support, but Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.

No guarantees

Quipshot is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of any kind and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost memes, or content you or others create with the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes and ending

We may update Quipshot or these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and continuing to use the app means you accept the update. You can stop at any time by deleting the app. If you seriously break these terms, the licence above ends.
